Screening is an important part of providing a safe and secure sporting environment. Consistent with the Softball Manitoba Screening Policy, all coaching staff (Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers), travelling umpires, learning facilitators, Board Members and staff must obtain a Criminal Record Check (CRC) starting January 1, 2023.
It is noted that these checks can take several weeks to complete. Therefore, coaches are encouraged to initiate this process prior to the start of the Club season to ensure compliance and eligibility to participate in league play and Provincial and National Championships. Coaching staff will not be able to register on RAMP unless they have their CRC completed and ready to upload.
CRC are valid for a period of five years from the date listed on the certificate. If an individual already has one through work or sport they do not have to reapply, simply upload the CRC to your Ramp profile.
Coaching staff under 18 years of age do not require a CRC.
