Team Blue brings home Bronze!!
The 2024 Manitoba Summer Games were held in Dauphin, MB from August 11-17, 2024.
Winnipeg TEAM BLUE was made up of players from:
- As per Sport Manitoba, The Winnipeg Region is the City of Winnipeg limits, not Perimeter HWY.
- Winnipeg South West Youth Softball Association
- NOTE: MacDonald Division (LaSalle, Sanford, Starbuck, Oak Bluff) belongs to the South Region.
- Bonivital Softball Association
The team was made up of 5 Bonivital players and 7 WSWYSA players.
Going into the Semi-Finals the team standings were;
The girls played AWESOME in the Semi-Finals, nearly beating TEAM SOUTH (who were the Gold winners) with a 5-4 loss. The closest the team has come to losing all year.
The girls then played in the Bronze medal game; They pulled off a dramatic full 7 innings bronze medal final to win 12-9 against the other Winnipeg team TEAM GOLD.
The WSWYSA would like to send out a huge CONGRATULATION to the team!! Way to go girls!!!
