Do you know an "aged out" player who would be interested in Coaching?

It is WSWYSA's mission to recruit as many young women who may have played softball in the past in our community to be our future coaches.  WSWYSA will offer this opportunity to these young athletes in most cases ahead of parent coaches. Studies have shown that young girls bond and enjoy their season more when placed with young women coaches who used to be them. Communication and friendship has been shown to benefit athletes from ages 5 to 18 when "aged out" athletes come back to coach in their community. With this in mind, WSWYSA will strive to place any young women who asks to coach a WSWYSA A or AA team. Once these coaches have been placed, selection will shift to parent coaches of which we will always need and who remain the staple for community sport to survive. If more than one parent coach requests a team, a selection process with applications will be coordinated, and a committee will be set in place to pick the coach.
